WAKE UP PAKISTAN TEAM

Loss to Australia is a great wake up call for Pakistan. When you are winning, no one points out at your weaknesses and everyone talks about what you have done right but once you start losing, things start to change. Pakistan won the match against Bangladesh and that win might have prevented the management to ponder and think over the mistakes they had done in that match. I think management was in fool’s paradise that butt and akmal will give them the firy start, but they forgot that Australian attack is completely opposite to Bangladesh attack.
Anyhow, let us have brief look what actually happened in the match. Australia won the toss and elected to bat and it was an obvious decision that Clarke had to make. Amir started well and wait a minute what do we see? hafeez ?yes hafeez is going to open the bowling from the other end. It was a surprise but warner and Watson didn’t take it as a surprise rather they took it as a gift from afridi. To be honest, afridi didn’t look like a captain which he pertain to be, i think he had some pre match planning regarding who to bowl which over and that is what he did. Continuing with hafeez was a sin, and then not giving the ball to razzak not even for one over was highly questionable! Pakistan had a rigorous fielding camp in Pakistan, but they didn’t show it on display that they had worked on their fielding fitness. They kept dropping the catches, and Australian utilizing the big boundary,kept taking doubles from the boundary riders. I think big grounds does not suit Pakistan style of cricket, their running between the wickets is pathetic, quality of their boundary fielding is not to be mentioned and off course their special aptitude of dropping catches make it even worse for them.
chasing 192 is always difficult but still a better effor from akmal brothers,razak and butt was required.
There were some blunders that afiridi made during the match, oh common afridi you cannot compare asif with sami, asif is a world class bowler and every Pakistani wants to see him in action, for GOD sake give him a game. Opening with hafeez might not be a bad decision but why continue with him? Why not just give him 1 over and then analyzing the reaction of the batsman change him? Afridi afridi afridi, Razzak was your best bowler in the previous tournament, common he is the most experienced bowler on tour, you didn’t give him one over, i seriously don’t understand this !. can somebody tell me in the world what fawad alam’s role in the team? You don’t get to bowl, you don’t get bat, are you playing as a fielder?
Now the things is, Pakistan has lost the match, and every one like me will be going to criticize afridi’s captaincy, so Mr Captain, you might get another chance to prove yourself in the next round ( provided Pakistan reaches). You need to select the best possible eleven without personal biasness. You need to motivate your boys and common guys that match is over, we are the world champs and let us show to the world that we can get back on track !
